08 — INTEGRATE
What are you carrying forward?
You’ve studied the passage carefully.
You’ve seen the parts.
You’ve stepped back and considered the whole.
Now take one final look over your study.
This movement is not about finding something new.
It is about noticing what remains with you.
TRUTH TO HOLD ONTO
What truth from this passage has become clearer or more personally significant to you?
Look back over your study.
Ask:
What truth keeps drawing my attention?
What feels clearer now than it did when you began?
What has become more weighty, more settled, or more personally meaningful?
Write the truth you want to hold onto.
You do not have to choose the most important truth in the passage.
Choose the truth that has become especially clear or significant to you.
-
From this study, I might carry forward:
The Father is the One who qualifies me. My life with Him begins from what He has already done, not from trying to make myself worthy enough to belong.
This is not necessarily the “biggest” truth in the passage.
It is the truth that has become especially clear and significant through the study.
-
Look back over your INTERPRET, FORMATION FLOW, and CONVERGE pages.
Then ask:
What truth do I not want to lose when I close this study?
It may be:
something about who God is
something Christ has accomplished
something that is true in the New Covenant
an assumption the passage has reshaped
something the Spirit has made especially clear
You do not need to choose the most important truth in the passage.
Choose the truth that has become especially clear or significant to you. STORY+STRAND_Companion_Website_…
WHAT I’M CARRYING FORWARD
As you consider the study as a whole, what would you like to return to, further consider, or carry forward?
Not everything has to be finished today.
Maybe there is:
a question you want to revisit
a word you want to study more deeply later
a truth you want to keep praying through
a connection you want to explore
something you want to notice in the rest of the book
a way of seeing God you want to keep returning to
Write what you want to carry with you beyond this study.
You do not have to resolve it now.
Some things are worth carrying forward precisely because they are not finished yet.
-
Ask:
What still feels important to return to?
or
What would I like to keep considering after I close this study?
You do not have to resolve it now.
Remember, you do not have to turn every question into a conclusion.
Some things are worth carrying forward precisely because they are not finished yet.
-
From this study, I might write:
I want to keep noticing where I still think and live as though I need to prove that I belong.
This does not have to be a finished answer.
It can simply name something you want to keep returning to after the study is over.
HAS ANYTHING BECOME PERSONALLY KNOWN?
Before you close the study, pause for one more question:
Is there anything from this passage that has become part of you — something personally known, not just understood?
This does not have to be dramatic.
Maybe a truth has settled more deeply.
Maybe you see God more clearly.
Maybe something you already knew has become more real.
Maybe you are still sitting with it.
Integration is not proving that the study changed you.
It is noticing what has begun to take root.
-
From this study, I might write:
This truth feels less like something I understand only with my mind and more like something I am beginning to rest in.
That is enough.
This final reflection does not need to sound dramatic or polished.
It is simply noticing whether something from the passage has begun to move from information into something more deeply known and lived. STORY+STRAND_Companion_Website_…
YOU JUST COMPLETED 08 — INTEGRATE
You began by slowing down enough to notice what was actually in the text.
You followed words, context, connections, covenant, and Christ.
You asked what the passage establishes.
You made room for truth to take root.
You stepped back and saw the whole.
And now you have named what you want to carry forward.
The study is complete.
Thank you for going on this journey through the Word.
May this be only the beginning of deeper curiosity, greater wonder, and a lifelong love of discovering Christ in Scripture.
And as you continue, may you keep returning to where we began:
Christ before all things.
Christ, in whom all things hold together.
Christ at the very center of the story.
May the Spirit continue to open the Word to you, draw your attention to Jesus, and teach you to live from what is already true in Him.
With love,
